December round-up: time off work = time to read!

Hey guys! I can’t believe it’s the last day of 2017 tomorrow! I say this every year, but the festive season sneaks up on me quicker than I’d like, and then vanishes in the blink of an eye, only for the whole process to happen again.

Anyway, between having a week off work for a holiday to Copenhagen, and two weeks off for Christmas, December was the month I needed to catch up with – and exceed – my reading goal.

Since I’ve read 15 books, which is around 11 more than I normally read in a month, I’m going to do my wrap-up mini reviews a little differently this time so it’s hopefully not just a really long and boring post for you! I hope you enjoy! πŸ™‚

What’s been your favourite read of the month? Did you manage to get more read than usual over the festive period, or was Christmas too hectic for you?Β

Feel free to connect with me on Goodreads, and let me know how your reading challenge is going!Β Leave me a comment so we can chat!

Thanks a lot, Maraia! Yes, I really enjoyed it – I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did, to be honest! I was expecting kind of like a light read, but it gave me a bit of a book hangover! What else have you read of Silvera’s? I’m guessing History Is All You Left Me. since I keep hearing about that! Haha, poetry isn’t my cuppa tea either! I don’t mind nice rhyming poems, but I’m clearly not cultured enough for “real” poetry, lol! Pfft, I bet “read less than usual” is still like 5 books, right? I’ll see…;)

I’ve read all of them. I liked the first two as well, but in both cases I couldn’t really connect with his characters.

        Hahahah, same!

Aww, thanks so much! It was an ARC so it’s not actually out yet, so that’ll be why you haven’t heard of it, haha! Yeah, I don’t get! I get the points it’s making, it’s just the medium for me – poetry has just never really stuck with me!
